Penguin vs Amazon – Book Fights Reach Libraries

Previously on Penguin vs. Amazon, Amazon cut prices for Penguin’s new releases of ebooks down to a discount price of $9.99. Penguin retaliated on April 1st by refusing to let Amazon carry any of its new ebook releases anymore. Amazon counterattacked by making those same books, in hardback form, that $9.99 price. Other companies had long since come to agreements with Amazon on pricing deals, but Penguin was stubborn. Eventually, Penguin too came to an agreement, and all seemed finally at peace. The peace was tenuous, however, and all knew that it would only be a matter of time.

John Green and the Nerdfighters: National Tour Proves Teenagers Still Love Books

A couple of weeks ago, my younger brother Justin and I packed up the car and drove down to Austin. We were on a mission: to find the Nerdfighteria van and see his favorite author, John Green, and singer, Hank Green. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

Grammar Rules: A Comma Conundrum

As we grow up, we learn many rules about grammar and punctuation. We learn about all sorts of different types of commas, like those in a list, the Oxford comma, and those breaking up clauses in a sentence. Many times we had to think hard about where to place our commas and check every rule to make sure our English teacher didn’t mark up our papers. When entering college, however, all those rules change.
